Copernicus offer among others access to ECMWF dataset ERA-5 for free with a latency of 5 days. Develop the necessary tools for data retrieval (account, request creation and so on). Atmospheric profiles created with ERA-5 data can be used directly as input for tailored run-wise simulations. Explore this option.
