- reconstruction methods applied in the DPPS reconstruction pipeline
- interpolation methods applied when preparing the IRFs for a given observation
The tool to derive the dimensions and granularity need to take above points into account. Need to define a workflow how the grid parameters are defined/determined.
e.g.:
- how many bins in zenith angle space are needed? What is the grid spacing (e.g., on 1/cos(ze))?https://gitlab.cta-observatory.org/cta-computing/dpps/simulationpipeline/prototypes/notes/simulation-project-notes/-/issues/1Definitions of tailored simulations2021-10-26T11:50:06+02:00Gernot MaierDefinitions of tailored simulationsWe have never written down the exact definition of tailored simulations.

see [description of simulation productions](SimulationProductions.md).
The second definition would simplify the workflow definition significantly, as there are from the technical point of view little differences to classical grid-style simulation productions.
