Trigger rate monitoring
A trigger rate monitoring will be useful in exception scenarios, especially when FRAM data are not available.
The first step is to decide for which algorithm we will use. Most promising candidate is the Cherenkov Transparency Coefficient (CTC), even though it is not mentioned in any of the level-B requirements we have. An advantage of the CTC is that we can also use it for the optical throughput calibration. The output of the CTC is the integral atmospheric transparency.
A second algorithm is the proton LIDAR. The advantage here is that it will give us a transparency profile, even though currently the uncertainties are large.
After deciding on the algorithm, the second step is its implementation.
