Analysis of Level-C requirements regarding muons
Summary
Currently we have the next level-C requirements regarding optical throughput with muons.
- C-CALP-0310,C-CALP-0330 that are decomposition of B-DPPS-2310
- C-CALP-0340,C-CALP-0350 that are decomposition of B-DPPS-2235
I think that actually B-DPPS-2310 not concerning us much, because it says about compensating in the optical throughput changes, that will be done not in CalibPipe. In CalibPipe we will only calculate absolute optical throughput together with associate metadata.
Also there is one new requirement B-DPPS-2320 "Muon Parameters Calculation" that we should satisfy.
Therefore I propose to:
- move C-CALP-0310 "Muon Parameters Calculation" as decomposition of B-DPPS-2320 "Muon Parameters Calculation"
- move C-CALP-0330 "Optical throughput uncertainties" as decomposition of B-DPPS-3540 "Optical Throughput Uncertainty"
- deleted existing part from the requirement C-CALP-0340 description about uncertainties, because computation of uncertainty for optical throughput is mentioned in the dedicated C-CALP-0330
- create new requirement C-CALP-0380 about performing and preserving baseline optical throughput measurement at the beginning of commissioning phase for each telescope, to satisfy B-DPPS-3706 "Detail of telescope description for muon simulations"
Also there are couple of level-B requirements which imply us to provide dedicated methods for muon physics inside ctapipe
. Should we display them as level-C requirements even if that code will not be an implicit part of CalibPipe
? Maybe something like "CalibPipe
shall provide a tool/method to calculate A using B" or does this sound not properly?
What is the expected correct behavior?
